This course is ideal anyone wanting to work more effectively to produce professional documents and for anyone for whom computers are a total mystery. Internet and E-Mail
Level 1 Introduction to Web Design A hands-on course
investigating the basics of designing web pages and web sites.
Students will start by learning the essentials of HTML and will then move
on to Microsoft FrontPage for the majority of the course. Students
will design a number of web pages in different styles. All that is needed
is a basic knowledge of computers, particularly web-browsing and word
processing or desktop publishing. This course pairs well with the
Photoshop courses. The final two weeks are spent designing your own
Word Processing:
Level 2 |
Desk Top Publishing: Level 1 Initiate the design of information sheets, business cards, two sided postcards, advertising flyers and brochures using layout guides, text frames, graphics, word art, tables, columns, backgrounds, borders, grouping, tracking and kerning, line spacing, drawing tools and importing files as necessary. Discuss appropriate design issues. Spreadsheets for Businesses: Level 2 ... work with functions and formulae, replicating formulae using relative and absolute cell references, naming cells, create and modify graphs, macros, Design Using Photoshop: Level 1 modify, resize, adjust colour and edit photographs, use a range of tools to create or modify images or parts of images, use the clone tool , create and work with layer techniques, use transparency, be aware of the complexity of the elements of design including line, texture, shape and colour Business Presentation Using PowerPoint
Learn how to create successful presentations and gain practice in
trying them out at the end of the course. Photoshop Level 2
This course is suitable for those who have taken Photoshop Level I .
The first week will refresh skills learned in Level I and
then new tools and concepts will be introduced. During the
last two weeks students create their own project. Family History Using the Internet Level 1
Everything you need to expand and develop your research. Discover
the range of online archives, the latest web pages, downloadable wills,
